Farewell 2021 and hello 2022!

While this year hasn't gone exactly as planned due to the ongoing pandemic which has thrown us, like all businesses, some challenges and has kept us on our toes this last 12 months there have been many successes and things to celebrate.

After not being able to run any classes or workshops until May this year due to national lockdowns and restrictions and then changing venues, for our youngest classes, at short notice we started to run classes for the first time in Cockett and Morriston and what a great decision it was too! Both are lovely venues, run by great people and are great fit for Shine Drama Workshops.

We ran our first Summer holiday sessions and Christmas classes this year that were popular and received excellent feedback. Hannah then joined the team in August, and I am so glad she did. She has been a great asset and Junior Sunbeams would be lost without her.

In September Junior Sunbeams was born and we now have weekly sessions for children up to the age of eight. and Sunbeams is now a family affair with my eldest joining this class in September and only four weeks ago my youngest refused to miss out any longer and started coming along. Finally my husband joined us as photographer in our final classes of the year.

The year ended on a huge high when our Junior Sunbeams class performed their Christmas play to a live audience.

So what can you expect from Shine Drama Workshops next year? Our new term for Junior Sunbeams starts on Thursday 6th January and Mini Sunbeams starts on Wednesday 12th January,

We will be taking part in Swansea's Winter of Wellbeing, offering free classes, funded by the Welsh government, in February for young people in Swansea
