What a wonderful Welsh Week!

We are proud to be a welsh company, working and supporting children and young people across Wales in the Expressive Arts. The last couple of weeks have been even more Welsh than usual!

Firstly, we had a great time working with all pupils in years 1 - 6 at Heol Y Celyn school at the end of February and on St David's day. The school have started a project on the story of Cantre'r Gwaelod and Shine Drama Workshops led storytelling workshops to introduce the story to the children. as well as teaching the children new Drama skills and techniques and providing lots of opportunities to explore, create and reflect and respond to Drama. Each session carefully planned and adapted for each year group.

Then we had "Celebration of Wales fortnight" in our Sunbeams group (a weekly Drama and confidence building session for children aged three - eight years) where we used the stories of Dinas Emrys and the battle of the red and white dragons as well as the myth and history of Cantre'r Gwaelod.

This is what teachers at Heol Y Celyn school had to say about our workshops-

"The children enjoyed the whole workshop, in particular the session was engaging, exciting, inclusive and fun. The way the story was included all the way through made the workshop great ......as well as the facilitator's enthusiasm of course."

"Very engaging for pupils. Lovely way to introduce the story. Great management of pupils"
